Construction stage of phase two of the most significant and largest construction project of the Republic of Latvia in the field of culture \u2013 reconstruction of the Me\u017eaparks Great Bandstand \u2013 was completed on 11 June 2021. LTD \u201cReaton\u201d provided the supply of decoration materials for rebuilding the bandstand and technical building during the process of changing the visual image of the Me\u017eaparks Great Bandstand. During the first stage of phase two, construction of the bandstand was implemented, whereas, during the second stage \u2013 construction of the technical and office buildings, as well as territory improvement. Decoration materials supplied by LTD \u201cReaton\u201d were used during the rebuilding of the Me\u017eaparks Great Bandstand, phase two, stages B1 and B2.<\/p>\n\n

Authors of the design are the Latvian architects Juris Poga and Austris Mail\u012btis. After the reconstruction, the Me\u017eaparks Great Bandstand has acquired the image of a Silver Grove on a mountain of songs, as intended by the authors of the idea. After the reconstruction, the total area of the Me\u017eaparks Great Bandstand accounts for 146,430 m2<\/sup>, and the project is recognised at the European level as a unique and complicated one with an individual acoustic solution.<\/p>\n\n

During the reconstruction process of the building of the Me\u017eaparks Great Bandstand, LTD \u201cReaton\u201d supplied oak parquet produced by \u201cCOSWICK\u201d. The range of products offered by \u201cCOSWICK\u201d is highly valued across the globe, therefore, in the auditorium of the 1st floor of the building and on the 2nd floor, natural oak parquet conforming to high quality requirements was laid. Three-layer oak parquet \u201cCOSWICK\u201d has a \u201cSilk oil commercial\u201d coating, which is intended for highly loaded premises subject to increased abrasion. The uniqueness of \u201cCOSWICK\u201d parquet \u2013 during the production process, cork expansion joints are used every 15 cm in the birch layer, as well as layer joining technology with glue normally used by NASA when joining plane rigging. Construction of the aforementioned parquet provides higher resistance to temperature and humidity fluctuations proven in objects across the globe over the years.<\/p>\n\n

Overall, during the reconstruction process of the Me\u017eaparks Great Bandstand, LTD \u201cReaton\u201d has provided the supply of several interior and decoration materials: oak parquet produced by \u201cCOSWICK\u201d, \u201cForbo TESSERA\u201d carpet tiles, synthetic linoleum \u201cTarkett Optima Multisafe\u201d for the humid areas, \u201cForbo\u201d natural linoleum \u201cMarmoleum\u201d; in the most significant part of the building \u2013 entrance area \u2013 built-in doormats \u201cFORBO NUWAY CONNECT\u201d and flagstone tiles of the Italian producer \u201cREFIN\u201d will be installed.<\/p>\n\n
