BAU 2025: The world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems

The main players in the field of construction and finishing materials gathered at the international trade fair BAU 2025, offering to find out more about innovative solutions and prospective trends. The experience trip to Germany of the Reaton team enhanced the understanding of the most current topics, which include the circular economy, the implementation of climate-friendly construction principles, as well as resources and cost-effective construction.

Sustainability and the circular economy are not just a temporary trend – they are core values that Reaton and other represented manufacturers adhere to, taking care of the environment in which we live and create.

By combining recycling strategies and design solutions, the “Road to Net Zero” concept developed by Agrob Buchtal, a manufacturer of ventilated facades and tiles, includes a path to reducing CO₂ emissions throughout the ceramic production chain. Steps to make it happen:

  • use of renewable energies such as solar energy;
  • transition from fossil fuels to electrical energy sources;
  • use of digital technologies in the production process, such as Ceramic Metaverse.

Ceramics are chosen more and more often in modern architecture due to their advantages – aesthetics, functionality and energy efficiency. The Gresmanc Group Favemanc brand offers new features in ventilated facade solutions, with a special focus on large formats – ceramic plates up to 3 metres long. According to architectural needs, large formats are offered both as smooth surface plates and as three-dimensional plates with geometric shapes.

During the fair, the Building and Environment Institute (Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V) awarded two new Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for the LOOP raised floor system to the flooring division of Lindner Group. The production of flexible, reusable sound-absorbing raised floor covering solutions achieves significant resource savings: more than a 70% reduction in CO₂ emissions and more than 90% water savings.

Continuing the theme of sustainable room interior decoration, an excellent element of the interior of private rooms is the offer of the SWISS KRONO GROUP brands ROOMS and MY FLOOR floor coverings. The ROOMS laminate series includes three collections (Suite, Loft and Penthouse), which combine the use of certified raw materials from sustainable forestry, at least 80% wood composition, hypoallergenic properties and moisture resistance for up to 24 hours. MY FLOOR flooring, on the other hand, consists of up to 90% wood, does not contain plasticisers, and is completely harmless to health in any home. MY FLOOR laminate collections are popular among customers due to the deep surface relief that highlights the appearance of raw wood, as well as the high resistance to wear and colour fading.

The vinyl flooring design innovation ShapeMatch from the DECORA S.A. Arbiton brand allows you to combine different floor covering boards and their arrangement, maintaining complete colour harmony in one room or between rooms. Three collections are offered: Amaron Wood, Amaron Herringbone and Amaron Chevron, each with eight decor options. Vinyl flooring is based on a mineral core (HD MINERAL CORE), which is a mixture of natural minerals and modern polymers.
