Within the scope of the Privacy Policy, SIA Reaton collects and processes personal data.

1. What information do we collect?

SIA Reaton collects all personal data that you provide to SIA Reaton or that SIA Reaton obtains in connection with your cooperation with SIA Reaton:
– your name, address, and contact information, including email address and phone number, as well as any other information related to you that is obtained from such related information.

SIA Reaton may collect this information in various ways. For example, data may be obtained from your passport or other identity documents or collected through a customer questionnaire completed by you. We may also collect your personal data from third parties. SIA Reaton may request information from third parties. Data may be stored in various locations, including personnel systems and IT systems, including email.

Your personal data may be used within the SIA Reaton group of companies for internal administrative purposes.

Disclosure of your personal data to certain third parties may occur, for example:

by transmitting information about you to SIA Reaton’s partners who provide various services to SIA Reaton, in order to fulfill your requests so that SIA Reaton can provide you with your chosen service (for example, in case of product repair), when selling you a product, fulfilling contractual obligations between the parties (for example, in employment relationships, trailer rental agreements, etc.). SIA Reaton does not disclose information about you to third parties except where it is necessary for the legitimate, contractual, or business purposes of SIA Reaton and when permitted or required by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia. Also, if necessary, SIA Reaton may transfer your personal data outside Latvia to other SIA Reaton group companies or to other companies that are SIA Reaton’s business partners.

The above-mentioned information may be disclosed:

  • in order to comply with the applicable laws and binding regulations of the Republic of Latvia and the procedural requirements set forth therein;
  • where SIA Reaton, acting in good faith, considers disclosure necessary to protect its rights;
  • to protect your safety or the safety of others;
  • for the prevention and investigation of criminal offences;
  • in response to requests from public authorities.

Furthermore, in cases where SIA Reaton may suffer losses as a result of your failure to duly perform or properly fulfil your obligations, SIA Reaton shall be entitled to apply to the courts, the State Police, and insurers, as well as to transfer data regarding your outstanding obligations to debt collection service providers and legal service providers.

2. Why does SIA Reaton process personal data?

We process personal data in order to contact you. In some cases, we may also need to process your data for the purpose of entering into a contract with you. In certain situations, we are required to process data to ensure compliance with the requirements set out in applicable laws and regulations.

SIA Reaton has a legitimate interest in processing personal data in the course of cooperation. We may also need to process data received from customers or business partners in order to respond to and defend our legal interests in the event of claims.

3. Who has access to the data?

Your information may be shared within the company in order to carry out activities related to the recruitment and hiring process. This includes the HR department, the department that has announced the vacancy, interviewers involved in the candidate evaluation process, managers responsible for the business area with the vacancy, and designated IT staff members, where access to your data is necessary for the performance of their direct duties.

4. How does SIA Reaton protect data?

We take the security of your data seriously. We have internal policies and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally deleted, misused, or disclosed, and that it cannot be accessed by unauthorised persons.

5. How long does SIA Reaton retain data?

SIA Reaton will retain the data for six (6) months after the completion of the relevant cooperation process. At the end of this period, your data will be deleted or destroyed.

6. Your Rights

As a data subject, you have several rights. You may:

  • request access to and obtain a copy of your data;
  • request SIA Reaton to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request SIA Reaton to delete or stop processing your data, for example, where the data is no longer required for the purposes of processing; and
  • object to the processing of your data where SIA Reaton relies on legitimate interests as the legal basis for processing.

7. What happens if you do not provide personal data?

If you do not consent to and permit the processing of your personal data for the purposes and to the extent specified in these rules, your data will be immediately deleted from SIA Reaton’s system upon receipt.
